It is ironic.
The people always accusing others of something are often the one who have committed the most horrific deeds.
In this day, too many people have a bull horn and are screaming about what is wrong with the world, particularly America and everything that is wrong with America lies within them.
Right at their address.
Right in their soul.
Men who are the most judgmental about other men attempt to hide their flaws, sins and misdeeds by shining the light on others.
The wisest of all men (JESUS) admonished us to get our own house in order before we judge others.
Let us learn from what has become the tragedy of Bill Cosby.
Bill Cosby made a fortune by portraying images and being the voice for black America as he offered unsolicited advise to young black men; particularly comedians.
He allowed his success to blind him of his own sin. He chastised boys/men who pants were not tight at the waist, while he drugged women to get their pants off their waist.
He cautioned black mothers to stop having children when he was raping young women who were two birthday candles away from being children.
Bill was lecturing his brand of morality from a mic and it was comedian Hannibal Buress who exposed him by the same means Bill Cosby had exposed others.
“Bill Cosby has the f**king smuggest old black man public persona that I hate,” Buress said. “‘Pull your pants up, black people. I was on TV in the ’80s. I can talk down to you because I had a successful sitcom.’ Yeah, but you raped women, Bill Cosby. So, brings you down a couple notches. I don’t curse onstage. But yeah, you’re a rapist.”
Buress’s comedy bit about Cosby from 2014:
After this show, women started coming out of the woodwork sharing their experiences and the truth started a fire that burnt to the ground the legacy and the con that is Bill Cosby.
We should be careful to get our houses in order before we go to someone else’s with a broom and a dustpan. Just like we can dig up dirt on someone else, our dirt can be dug up. Let all the “this is wrong with America” voices, sit down and shut up as they examine what is wrong with their America.
The America at their address and within their 4 walls. What tangled webs of lies, deceit and delusion we will find.
Whatever a man or woman claims to despise, just look closely. Something more egregious, sinful and salacious lies within them. They just want you to keep looking over there so you will never over here.
The lesson for us is to get self together. Walk in truth, honor, decency and do the work our lives require. I have found when I do the work that I require, it is a 86, 400 second a day job.
What about you?
