Congratulations Ayesha Curry: Shut the Stephen A. Smith’s of the World Up!

Ms. Ayesha Curry (the wife of  NBA star Stephen Curry) is in this months issue of Ebony Magazine. Last year she released her cookbook, ‘The Seasoned Life: Food, Family, Faith, and the Joy of Eating Well,” the Food Network show, Ayesha’s Home Kitchen, and a recently launched food delivery service, Homemade.

Now, the wife and mother of two is taking on the biggest challenge yet in the food industry. What first began as a pop-up restaurant Curry co-launched in 2016 with Chef Michael Mina, has now become a restaurant in San Francisco’s Millennium Tower.

I took notice of her when Stephen A. Smith decided to blast her on Twitter for comments she made on her social media platform about how a basketball game she was watching was going. She said she thought the game was rigged and he decided it was his business to compare her to Savannah James ( Lebron James wife) and school her on how to be a “good wife”.

He mansplains here…the man part in my opionion is subject.

THAT IRRITATED ME AND RUBBED ME THE WRONG WAY.  As a result, he is on my eternal dung list.

Now, I did a little bit of research on SAS and learned that he has never played professional basketball.  With the skill set of college player with very limited playing time, he feels he is qualified to provide commentary on something he was unable to do. And to add insult to injury, it appears as if he fell into this basketball thing after attending the Fashion Institute of Technology for one year, Smith received a basketball scholarship to attend Winston-Salem State University. While still on the team, Smith wrote a column for the university newspaper, The News Argus.

SAS was “injured” after a short stint (maybe just not good enough) and that was that.

I guess you did good SAS. Parlaying a column in the schools paper into what it is you now do. Guess your Plan A, the fashion thing did not work out for you. You may now shit,  I mean sit on the bench of life with all the other “mansplainers” that write about what they have never been able to accomplish.

Unfortunately, you are not in very good company.
